The annual struggle... what to get the Mrs for Christmas?!
Discussion
Well the time is here the annual struggle of what to buy the woman that has everything for Christmas! Looking for suggestions maybe we can get some inspiration.
Doesn't have to be a PH company director moll budget just something that shows that some kind of effort has been put into it. I got her a plate for her car last year along with the usual smellies and chocs.
Fire away with some ideas!

My wife is a nightmare too, she's pretty much got everything she wants, she's very particular with clothing and has a short attention span when it comes to clothes, not really into jewelery or perfumes plus I'm pretty crap with ideas, fortunately this year we've set a £20 budget as we are seeing Green Day later in the year so that's our present to each other.
it's her 50th in January, I'm bricking it lol as I've go no idea!

Loving the ".. some kind of effort..." whilst asking for ideas on PH!
The OH and me are finding as each year passes that we're less and less interested in wasting good money on s
te pressies that neither wants/needs so tend to buy what we want in the weeks leading up to Xmas and just agree we've bought them for each other as pressies.
So this year I've bought her a pair of posh wellies for walking the dog each day, and she's bought me another addition to my Makita cordless collection.
On the day itself we will probably buy a few odds and sods just to have something to open, but this year we're even struggling to build up the enthusiasm to waste time and money hunting that kind of rubbish down so xmas day present opening might be over pretty damn quick this year!
So... posh wellies.

Mine is really into crafting and has expressed an interest in stained glass windows. There's a half day beginner's course at a local college for something like £80 so that will do nicely from me.
From the kids she'll get some new fluffy socks, some chocs and a book.
I hate insta / facebook quotes but to be fair the "Want, Need, Wear, Read" rule of gifting that I see doing the rounds does make a lot of sense.

She wasn't anywhere amused by it as I was.

Why not just ask her?
Or are we not meant to talk to the womenfolk.
This should work in theory, but in practice it doesn't. Well, not in Mrs. Hants PH'ers case anyway.Or are we not meant to talk to the womenfolk.
The conversation inevitably goes like this:
Me: "What would you like for Christmas love?"
Her: "Don't buy me chocolates and don't buy me fragrance or jewellery."
Me: "OK. Anything you do want, rather than don't want?"
Her: "Please don't get clothes or footwear, and definitely not underwear!"
So I give up and get her a bottle of artisan gin that always tastes weird, unlike Gordon's that she actually does like and "probably what you should have got." Although the one year I did get Gordon's she said that was a boring choice.
Ho sodding ho! For the avoidance of doubt, I love her to bits, always have, always will, but she's a nightmare to buy for.
We haven’t done Christmas presents for years… neither of us really need anything, and if we do, we just buy it. Instead we just spend the money on doing something together… a really nice dinner, a show, etc.
Having said that, I’m surprising her with a service, polish, new dial and sapphire for her watch. She currently thinks she’s lost it
