Does such a thing exist as rankings or a rating system for private schools? If so, would someone kindly point me in the right direction please.

I have, of course, tried googling this but I seem to get a load of spurious and spammy websites that are just riddled with adverts for schools.

I am trying to look at scores/ratings/exam results for the schools local to me.

Thanks

The Times rank all independent schools by GCSE/A level/IB results.

I would counsel against selection on academic performance. That is only one component of the benefit of an independent sector education

The Times/Sunday Times publishes one - but it's paywalled.

The Good Schools Guide always seemed to give a fair account of the school I worked in. I think it is subscription only, but many schools put a free copy of their entry on their website (and you might like to ask yourself why others don't, if they don't). https://www.goodschoolsguide.co.uk/

With regards to your last point, I would absolutely agree, having been though the private school system myself. Personally speaking, it was most of the other intangible benefits that I felt I benefitted most from.

Hence why I was more interested in some kind of general review or grading system, not just exam results. I am guessing that such a thing does not exist.

Thanks for that.

Happy to pay for the guides/reviews and have a read.
