I'm looking for a new water bottle, and I'd like a metal one, preferably made in the UK but at the very least, not made in China.

So far I'm drawing a blank with made in UK - anyone got suggestions?

SIGG, but they're made in Switzerland.

Few and far between. A hunter's flask might suffice, and certainly made in England, but it ain't cheap. Plus you'll probably look a bit silly, but hey, life's too short to be boring.

Only if they have a Swiss flag on them!

Not quite the aesthetic I'm after, but I'd not heard of that company before, I appreciate the link. Some nice looking stuff on there.

Aha! That could be the ticket. I'd actually spotted them in my search before I posted this thread, but I mistakenly thought they only did plastic stuff.

Thanks smile

Crafted in England, I’d wager printed on in England is more accurate.

I’ve not delved, but it says “crafted in England” does that mean all of it or the personalisation?

But it just looks like they’re personalising chilli bottles which are made in China.

I asked myself that question too. Apparently manufactured in the UK -

I'm a bit dubious though!

They’re quality and need to go on the frivolous purchases thread!

£88 for a bottle, love it!

My parents gave me £100 for Christmas because they couldn’t be arsed buying me anything, I might get one and tell them that’s what I bought with it. Plus £8 for the funnel!

They are very careful to not say 'made in England'.

Picked a random Slurp bottle design and used Google Lens...

Generic Chinese bottles, overprinted in the UK.

"Show you’re unique with your very own personalised flamingo water bottle!"

Difficult to find any that aren't made in China/India, but I'm a fan of the Klean Kanteen ones.

https://www.kleankanteen.co.uk/pages/faq

Where are Klean Kanteens made?

"Klean Kanteen products are designed in Chico, California and responsibly made in China. Currently, there aren’t qualified stainless steel water bottle manufacturers in the US – most brands are made in either China or India. We are proud to have a long relationship with these facilities and their staff and consider them part of our Klean Kanteen family."

With all manufacturing being completed in the UK

I have a hunch some lawyers got paid.

Those look expensive, the Harris tweed ones they have I paid £20 for in the whisky shop before Christmas

I suspect the stainless bottle came from somewhere with lower labour costs, then the tweed or croc wrapped around in the UK.
