Ignorant as in lack of knowledge as opposed to rude...

What's the most extreme/deranged thing you've heard? I imagine there might be some crackers but to get the ball rolling, one of the girls in the office in the past couple of weeks has had two of note that are very...revealing.

1. Talking about the Napoleon film- 'What? Like the ice cream?'

2. Not knowing if Hitler was still alive.

We're talking about someone who's early 30's here. Does make me wonder what other absolutely clangers we may still find out.

Ever been in NPE? It's an utter guitar pleasure. It's not just ignorance, the lies are comedy too.

Used to know a bloke who thought tea bags had milk and sugar in them!
He also thought West Side Story was a western!
Not so much ignorant just a bit dim!

Well at least she tried to think about politics. And she predicted that twitter would become X. As did Terminator in this thread...

Not ignorant, but a blonde moment.

When Richard III’s remains were found, someone from work asked ‘Why did they bury him under a carpark?’

I once stood in a mates house while he made a very tasty looking sarnie and gave it to his , living in their house for free , girlfriends brother .
I commented that it was a very nice touch and his reply was “ he doesn’t know how to make a sandwich , his mum did everything for him”
My reply was “ just as well he doesn’t live at mine , he’d have been swept up and put in the bin by now he’d be that hungry “

PH has improved my worldliness,

I now know about arguing with a Strawman,
Dogging in the Manger, Gaslighting, , Rimming,
Teabagging [ could have lived without those two ].

In Hong Kong, mid 2000’s, I knew a high ranking civil servant, through work. During one conversation; he expressed concern about one of his Filapina maids, being a lesbian.

“Why are you concerned?”
“I’m worried she may catch AIDS”
“I think that is very unlikely”
“Why?”

Not content with my reply, he wanted a detailed explanation for my reasoning.

Now, I’m not going to claim be the sharpest writing implement in the pencil case; but it felt very bizarre, explaining to highly educated individual in a position of influence, why in a risk assessment context, the lesbian may be a good choice, for her continued employment.

In deep rural France in conversation with two elderly locals, it came out that they both thought that Great Britain were on the same side as the Germans!

And one of them asked if I took my Transit van on a recent trip to New Zealand!
