A friend purchased this in junk shop having no idea what it is.
By the fact it has Corby stamped on it, I suggested it's obviously a portable trouser press rofl

The main body appears to be brass and the roller is wooden.

Over to the never ending knowledge of PH.

Off to google and sure enough PH comes up trumps, I'm guessing it is from one of these. (probably a pre-Bakelite version)
