I haven't been here in quite a while, but I've been wearing this t-shirt to bed for about 13 years ever since a friend bought it for me for my birthday.

Does anyone here remember what this means? The thread was hilarious.

Dunno, before my time, but maybe give the shirt a night off and a run through the washing machine.

I think someone's bio said their occupation was a powerfully built company director. Something along those lines and it became a bit of a running joke that everyone on here was one and all had big houses and fast cars etc.

I'm sure someone will be along with the specifics but it was along those lines in my mind. I dont know if the whole thing was a joke or if someone actually wrote that seriously about themselves!

Welcome back. I've recently come on more after a long break too.

I don't know why, but I always picture Ewan MacIntosh (RIP) as the archetypal powerfully built Piston Header.

Yep, I'm certainly not envisioning an Alan Ritchson lookalike. https://youtu.be/z_ykEGjMW-o

I have been looking at the PH Legendary threads recently and in there are several similar PH phrases of note.
Frozen sausages in the lawn
Whoosh Parrots
Custard
Etc.
Some great reading in there. Memories of a range of hilarious to cringeworthy posts.

I was going to ask for the link but I found it easy enough, for reference for anyone else...

I had a scan through it I remember one where someone said the house cleaner kept wetting the bed when they were out? It seemed to go on for ages and the whole thing was a wind up iirc. Anyone remember that?

I think their username was 911 motorsport wasn't it? something along those lines.

He reckoned a woman was admiring his physique and getting handsy with him in a bar because he is "very powerfully built".

Didn't he also get caught pissing in a kettle?

The original Custard thread fella is on the recent Youtube video with Chris Harris who acts as his driver. He has also recently bought the reg CU57ARD and owns a custard coloured Bentley in honour of that thread. Amazing collection of cars even still today!

Yes,that was him, his posts were pure genius. Also remember something about other men being intimidated by his physique.

That's not quite right; I introduced 'Custard Proof' to Pistonheads back in 2007, it made its debut here - as bristolbaron mentions - in the 'Stolen recovered Lambo' thread: https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

However as I mention in that post, the idea was not mine, it was barryboys.co.uk site admin by the name of 'famine' who came up with it.

I recall it as being pure cringe rather than genius. amongst so many PHers lacking self-awareness, he seemed right up there. Unless it was always a trolling attempt?
