Your nutty neighbours
Discussion
I don't recall there being a nutty neighbour thread but seen many when calling out a curmudgeonly individual and asking the Pistonheads massive for advice.
What is your nutty neighbour experience?
Of cause, this is prompted by the 'lady' next door but one who is weird to say the least and tries to play games to annoy us. Let's start with...we have lived in our present house 12 years and never met the husband, but seen him from afar. Two kids. One is transitioning male to female. The other is female, but has a boyfriend that wants to become a girl. Before I sent her a warning letter to stay away from us and her house, she would come around but not knock on the door. Instead, she would stare through a window.
Our flash point is the driveway that crosses her plot to reach other houses including ours. We pay a share to maintaine the fabric of the driveway, but thinks it is MY job to clear the driveway of leaves and debris. It is in my interests to have a clear driveway so not to damage the cars or slip over. Last winter, I cleared the drive and put leaves into her green bin. On New Years Day, she tipped the contents back onto the drive. In high winds, branches have come down. I get out of car and place them next to but off the driveway. Next day, they have put back on the driveway. Difficult situation to negotiate around as life lessons tell me that nutters and terrorists are similar. She in particular is getting worse as time goes on. Reckon she is mid 60s but not a dementia sufferer. We could move, but odds on we could easily aquire another nutter.
What nutty neighbours do you put up with, what do they do, and do you manage?

Yeah, true. I'm focusing more on the ones that are, how shall we say, detrimental to your enjoyment of your life and property. The ones where you need PoPo/men in white coats. I will give it a study though.
Perhaps she does suffer from a mental illness, dementia, Parkinsons possibly, maybe you should cut her some slack, it might be you one day.Gassing Station | The Lounge | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
