Things getting smaller

I grew up in the 80s when curled wurleys were as big as ladders. Went to buy a 4 pack of mars bars, 1.25 for 3 , that are tiny. I didn't bother

Will will get to the point that chocolate will basically just be tiny. Who benefits from this, it really was better in the old days

I bought one of those four pack mars bars in co-op recently as they are better value than the share size... The bars were shorter than my little finger!

I normally buy a Picnic bar for a treat and it's a decent size lump for around 90p now.

Bought this the other day. Same price but now the size of one half of a Twix.

Noticed this recently with Wrights coal tar soap, despite having the same size packaging it's around a third less in mass.

Sounds about right for pretty much everything!!

Pay more and get less, all the confectionary packets have been doing the same for a while now. I saw some article on it where they just reduce the amount inside a packet incrementally like Haribo etc.

Or you get what happened a couple of years back where bags that were specifically aimed to be a nice round £1 all jumped up to £1.25 be it sweets or crisps.

Crisps.
A few crisps in a bag of gas.

The big family pack are crisp size now.

The little bags are history.

I suppose in one way it's a good thing, cos it stops us consuming so much junk food...But a bag of apples is around the £2 mark as well!

My pet hate is the newer Toblerones. It used to be that you couldn’t bite a piece off without running the risk of hurting your palate or loosening a few teeth. Now, the valleys are getting bigger and the peaks smaller. I have made the decision to buy a really big one for Christmas to see if it is reminiscent of the old ones!

Two to three years back one of those large Toblerone was £3 in Tesco. Now it's over £5. I saw one in duty free at an airport last month and it was about £9.Who buys this st at those prices?
