Warm Jumper/fleece/something else for wearing at home

Moved from a 15 year old house to a 115 year old one, and looking for suggestions, as I tend to feel the cold especially at night if I stop moving. Something that isn't a giant fleece thing that seems to be the fashion at the moment.
Something I can sit about in or pop to the garage at the end of the garden in, but isn't themed to make me look like a wolf enthusiast or that I secretly want to be a bear.
The kind of thing you stick over your jumper, but not while smoking a cigarette with a holder on the end whilst sport a nifty dastardly moustache.
Basically I want to look normal and be warm whilst milling about my slightly colder than previous house.

no, no no. don't get outdoor clothing, you are indoors!
you dont want to be sat on your sofa in a technical fleece
you want proper clothes, comfy, cosy, perhaps a bit oversized.
something you can open and shut is very handy too, to regulate temperature.
you want a sort of upper body dressing gown type thing, but smarter.

If it's just for wearing round the house, who cares what it/you looks like?
Layers are what you want. Thermal base layer, wool/fleece mid layer (for indoors) then standard fleece/insulated jacket for outer layer (for when you go outside). The base and mid are thin layers so it doesn't feel like you're dressed for winter.
Or wear what you normally wear and just put a jacket on to go outside?

i WFH in a north facing room that's never properly warm, about this time of year i bring out the hoodie to wear over the top of T-shirt+fleece. If i'm on-camera i remove the hoodie and have a blanket over my legs like an old man

We hardly ever put the heating on (Calor LPG - too expensive) so rely mostly on the woodburner in one room. I wear two to three layers when it gets colder, including socks if necessary.
