Imagine, like me, you have an Amazon gift voucher for £50 as this year's Christmas bonus (Wooo! Yeah! Go hard economic trading conditions!) and there's nothing in particular you want/need... and you'd rather not wait until you need something boring: my last voucher (a research reward/payment, not a bonus) went on two new shaver heads - exciting stuff bowtie

Lets have your best ideas of how to blow it: tech, toys, tools, terrific tomes... even stuff that doesn't begin with "t" might be the winner!

Some inflatable palm trees for the office. Fight the January blues.

Or do what any self respecting brit would do re wrap it and give it to someone else as a present biggrin

These Leatherman-clone multitools are good. The "file" attachment is a T-slot fitting that will take universal jigsaw blades in wood/metal flavour also.

Not a terrible idea (silly, but not terrible!), but no space.

Looks lovely, but it'd be wasted on me, I rarely drink (still got 2/3rds of a half bottle of Jura I was given 3.5 years ago in the cupboard...)

NC headphones?

Sony 720N are hard to beat unless you have a £250+ budget and are within spitting distance of your voucher. Great for aeroplanes or to focus in the office.

How about buying one of those tape cassette players that can record directly onto a micro SD card in MP3 format? Then, buy some toothbrush heads or leather conditioner with the remaining balance.

Casio MDV 106 "Duro". An excellent and well built watch for the price. Always handy to have a smart waterproof quartz watch ready to go, and can make a great gift.

Amazon sell other stores gift vouchers, Argos. Netflix, Next, restaurants etc if it lets you buy one of these.

I would keep it to pay for the postage on the next item you buy.

Cheer up...spare a thought for those whose employers are tight enough to not give them anything. That's £50 more than I got given by mine!

I didn't know that was a thing.

I have absolutely no use for one of those but it still sounds cool enough that I'm tempted to buy one!
