Metaphors

I've come across a few twisted metaphors and sayings lately that almost make sense.

'We'll burn that bridge when we come to it."

"You can't teach an old dog to change it's spots in mid stream."

"It was raining cats and dogs and I stepped in a Poodle".

Any other good ones?

I do use this one, but it's not just a joke, it's quite apt - "we will encounter a new situation, we will definitely fk it up, and it's only having done so that we'll address it".

Yea I have used it in that context before. It’s not a priority and we’ll fk it up when it becomes one.

It seems to me the kind of thing malcolm tucker would say on purpose. Similarly:

People in glass houses should shut the fk up

But they aren't actually cliches because they are mangled. In fact some of them are mangled deliberately to avoid cliche.

Malaphors is the best description.
