Hey breatheren. Not sure where best to put this - mods prob know

HM veteran with ongoing war pension case for injuries. RBL have assigned a case advisor (solicitor) to help me prepare my case and represent me at the hearing.

Mar 25 advisor assigned and initial chat. He identifies case not ready for hearing and suggests we ask for a postponement. I agree.

Apr i recieve email from the court about my hearing scheduled for 8 May. Solicitor emails asking for further evidence from me and the war pensions office. No info about him asking for postponement. I reply and nothing back.

Hearing is this Thurs and I only have email contact with solicitor; he is ghosting me.

Phoned RBL today and only have main office number and they will "pass it on". So i now have 36 hours until my hearing and RBL are useless.

Tomorrow I plan on emailing the boss (Mark Atkinson) via email, address provided by ceoemail.

However I'm not 100% confident on the validity of this and hoped someone might have confirmed phone number for a senior member?

Sorry can't help but have you tried posting on a veterans' Facebook group?

You could try messaging the Facebook team. https://www.facebook.com/OfficialPoppyLegion

Are they using an external solicitor? If so try the senior partner...

Given the short timescale tweeting at the boss might be worth a go if he has a twitter account. Can you not ask for the postponement yourself? Given the RBL have left you hanging it seems like a reasonable request.

Thanks all.

I have an arrse account and have posted there too.

Internal solicitor. They employ 3, north, midlands and south advisor.

I will need to create an X account and unsure what to do on that platform.

FB gets a generic response of "aim to reply in 5 days".

Yes postponing the hearing is my 4pm option today and I will blame illness.

See if you can get an email address for the court clerk and ask them for assistance to wake your solicitor up...

Finally got a call from my care advisor at 1400, all set for tomorrow apparently.

3 hours hearing with judge, doctor, and Army rep at 1000. Weirdly he can't disclose what questions he will ask me in advance but it's pertaining to daily life. Thanks anyway peeps. Hopefully they allow the appeal and more compo

Good luck. They are not allowed to 'prepare' you so not telling you the questions is normal.
