Need a bit of a peer check on a purchase.

Was looking for tickets for an event recently. Downloaded the app for ease (AXS, known vendor, legit app with good reviews). Found some resale tickets on there for a silly low price, less than a third of retail. Some other resales were around 40-50% retail. They weren't a restricted view seat and although it's a 3 day event single day tickets aren't available, so it can't be that. The event is months away and it isn't sold out.

Got a confirmation email straight away and the tickets are already showing in the app.

Have I missed something here? If I've somehow fked up then it was absolutely worth a punt.

I bought some re-sale tickets from a respectable ticket re-seller for the Foo Fighters in Cardiff last year.

I had a query about them on the day and was directed to the stadium box office where I was told they have nothing but problems with this company. Apparently, when a buyer puts their tickets up for re-sale, said company will sell them to up to 10 different people. Whoever gets to the venue first gets in - the remaining 9 are turned away as their tickets are "not valid"..

The advice to me from the stadium ticket office was the same I'll give to you now - "get to the venue in good time so that you're there as soon as the gates open!".

Thanks. I've heard similar before but AXS are the only ticket vendor, primary and resale. It's not a separate company doing the resale. Bought them as per a normal ticket, apart from the fact there was a little icon on the seat indicating it was a resale.

Only bought a resale once and that was over a decade ago when rules were a bit more relaxed.
