Thunderbugs, midges whatever you call them, it's that time of year a couple of days where we are inundated with them partly because we are near the edge of the fens and also in part because we are in the middle of a farm.

Irritating little bds get everywhere we founds some in a picture frame recently and when I was on the Helpdesk many years ago we used to get new screen requests from people where they have got into the panel and died looking like lots of tiny dead pixels.

Don't get me wrong I know we need bugs and insects and the uptick we seem to have had this year is a good thing but its still annoying hehe

I was out on the bike a couple of weekends back and a live one managed to get inside my crash helmet and worm it's way between my earplug and ear canal.

More than a bit irritating!

Maximum length 1mm according to Wikipedia, these little blighters get in everywhere: picture frames, doorbell camera housings for example, and they are called thrips no matter if there's only one - it's still a thrips.
