Doing my bathroom and four other things at once at the moment.
I bought something worth about 90 quid that wasnt suitable so posted it first class ( i know yes) and sent it off to the retailer.
Stuck arguing all week with the shop who kept denying it had arrived and constantly looking for the receipt in old clothes i got to today sat down amd thought id go detective as a final.effort.
-Looked at camera footage outside to see.the clothes i wore that day (tick)
-Look i said hoody (growly tick) it was a receipt found!
As you can see it was obliterated BUT had some.numbers readable! I also had one digit missing on the SID but the woman in the post office was as much help as a chocolate envelope and wasnt willing to help chamge digits to search on thst.
Could Chat GPT generate me a possible set of numbers this could be for a standard royal mail receipt....it had a go but stuck to "it starts with GB" type answers.
Could a human crack it?
Yes! A few different digit changes and Eureka!

Great job! AI gets a lot of hype, but if it doesn t deliver something practical, interest drops fast. There s a difference between something being cool and something being useful. Most people care more about the second one. AI paraphraser isn t flashy, but it does something simple well. That s usually what sticks long term. Practical wins over impressive.
