Lovely evening out yesterday, work paid as my retirement gift, good food , free flowing drinks.
I drank a good few, nothing excessive.
I went outside for a vape, in my left pocket, spare juice, in my right pocket eye drops... I obviously put my hand in the wrong pocket while getting the eye drops..

So why have you titled the thread 'Prize Plum'? Is that what your eye looks like, all purply red and swollen? Ouch. Hope it gets better soon!
Ah, no, Prize Plum is what a friend calls me when I do something stupid... Like the time I rebuilt an engine but forgot the oil.IDoofus said:
I still don't understand what happened.
He apparently confused the distinctively shaped container of vape fluid with the tiny distinctively shaped bottle of eye drops, and, while popping out for a vape, put vape fluid in his eye.Must have been incredibly painful. If it actually happened.

But then you realised once you were able to see the bottle. I drank a good few, nothing excessive.

To make you feel better OP, my nan who's 92 now but was probably 75/76 at the time woke up one morning and popped her eye drops in.
But of course she keeps a similar shaped bottle of super glue in her bedside table because it makes complete sense. Manages to glue her eye lid shut. Off to A&E and told to bathe it and it reopened after several days.
Apparently it's not as common a mistake as people think but not sure if they said that to make her feel better!

Acetone (found in proper nail varnish remover) is great for loosening up super-glue, but I'm not sure it's a good idea in your eyes But of course she keeps a similar shaped bottle of super glue in her bedside table because it makes complete sense. Apropos of nothing, I recall sitting in traffic and looking over at the works van that was stationary in the lane beside me. The fella, in his sixties, was sucking on a vape that he wore on his neck with a lanyard.
It was redolent of a small child with a dummy clipped to its babygrow.
