A bit of a punt but I thought I'd see whether there was any guidance available from PH knowledge and experience. I have inherited a collection of rings including emeralds, rubies and aquamarines, many in diamond setttings. I had them valued recently for insurance purposes and they average between £2000 and £4000 each. I accept that market value could be considerably less. It appears that none of my family want them for sentimental reasons so I am considering selling them. I have the time and patience to sell them myself individually, if it makes sense. I see similar stuff on ebay and FB marketplace but wonder of there is a bettter method. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I used a good local auction house to sell my late Mother's stuff.

But the downside is the seller's premium and who is looking for jewellry.

Agreed. - the executor of a close friend used a local auctioneer who had on line auctions for the sale of her stuff.

Out of a sale value of £8000, they took about. £1000 as commission

There is a jeweller on here called Eddie - maybe shoot him an email?
