My mum spent £300 on a fake tree in the late 90s which was deemed ridiculous by all and no doubt dad had to hold his tongue a whole lot. It’s still going and she’s spent multiples more on baubles etc. for several years she’d visit the Xmas shop in York out of season. It really is a spectacle and will likely end up being a family heirloom.
