I run a modern iPhone / car play

A few months ago I kept having it jump around, ie it would think it was 20 miles away for a few minutes then all snap back to normal

Near cricklade Wiltshire this morning it was doing it again

Initially I thought it was localised, but it happens for 10 minutes at a time when I’m travelling at 60 ish

Russians?!

I thought you meant GPs hehe mine is far too idle for anything that strenuous.
As for GPS, I did Exeter to Carlisle and back recently with Google Maps and twice I had to tap to recentre, but otherwise no glitches.

Funny you have said that as I've had a few times that it's found the destination that I want but doesn't seem to know where I am.

Over the past month.

Does make you realise how feked we are if someone decides to take out a satellite, either via cyber or a missile.

Driverless cars would be useless for starters.

Funny you mention this, my brother in law was heading to Fuel 45 yesterday with me following and he completely missed the turning. I assumed he knew a better route, but after a few minutes we had to turn round and he said it was like his CarPlay was extremely delayed in showing the route.

I have once before had waze appear to get stuck with the map not moving on, but with directions still popping up.

I suspect this is just Google software glitches rather than a cyber attack to slightly inconvenience us on the roads.

KP index has been pretty high for a week now, it’s affects the GPS on anything using satellites.

It’s affects our drones when doing centimetre accuracy surveys, so we are always monitoring the Kp.

It’s 5 today, anything over 6 and we have to take a judgement call on flight to,or no go.

It's signals getting bounced off the underside of the mothership.
