Cool Slippers - ??
Discussion
If I may garner a little help please?
The last time I had 'slippers' was way back in the 1980's when we lived in a thatched cottage with only a Rayburn for heat (and hot water). Those pie crust leather/suede Moccasins were the order of the day and essential.
I have always enjoyed being barefoot at home and weekends/evenings were spent like that, even outside.
I now live in T'NORTH and have a sixties house with hard floors - parquet, vinyl and ceramics.
Mrs and daughters thought it an amusing jape to buy me some black felty Shoezone type things, which after politely wearing for 3 weeks, were strangely left outside in the rain...
Can any of you chaps show or suggest examples of something cool and befitting of a 57 yr old with aspirations of emulating Ray Winstone and/or Brian Blessed. Please?

I'm not sure on your definition of cool, but how about some sort of base camp slipper?
We bought my Dad some of these, due to bad circulation and other health conditions.

Comfy as they come, don't look like they have came from the M&S "hearing aid beige" range and decent enough sole on them to take the bins out in the snow.

You could got for some soft driving shoes that should outlast slippers…

Why the need for actual slippers? I just wear trainers in the house, and have a pair that I wear inside only. They give proper heel cushioning, arch support and comfort, unlike most slippers.
At the moment I have a pair of Sketchers Slip-Ins which are just what they say. You just slip your feet straight in, no need to lace them up. I totally get the joke about Sketchers being the preserve of the unfashionable or the elderly, but I have to say, these are easily one of the most comfortable pairs of trainers I have ever had. I can walk around the house all day in them on hard floors and my feet are perfectly warm and comfortable.

When you need comfort, style and high end fashion, you need a pair of fur-lined Crocs with added headlights and optional rear exhausts:

You can also get "bumper nuts" for them as well!Personally I have a pair of Keen Howsers and they are really comfy.
I have hard floors throughout and just wear adidas cloudfoam slides.
I have some gurus room shoes by the door if I need to take something outside. They’re quilted and fleece lined so would be more suited to cold floors. Full range here but they’re usually on sale at size / hip for around £20.

I don't think they could be described as cool, although they are called Dude, but I've had these for years and they are very very comfortable and hard wearing - https://www.sorelfootwear.co.uk/p/mens-sorel-dude-...The last time I had 'slippers' was way back in the 1980's when we lived in a thatched cottage with only a Rayburn for heat (and hot water).
