Anyone seen this ad pop up on You Tube?

Utter tripe. Supposed to be some old Kentish craftsman who's accent veers from west-country to deep American south and back again, making hand crafted bird boxes that are somehow identical that, when you click on the link are shipped from Albuquerque !!

There's another Ai ad with some bloke demonstrating a 'scuff remover cloth' that somehow also managed to remove a dent at the same time with just a few rubs.

Any other Ai gen ad gems?

Not seen that one. But bearskin who do jackets has one that is awful. Attempted pick pocket in London and the background is all messed up and plain wrong.

You ain't seen nothing yet. They'll be able to infiltrate previously unimaginable areas. And almost no one is going to create this type of thing with live humans eventually.

I'm still trying to figure out why I'm so instantly replused by AI, but it's a feeling that's growing and won't stop until it's 100% impossible to identify.

My personal favourite are the glasses adverts that are clearly ai. Also had one where they were driving but the cars proportions were completely off. Or over summer those air conditioning cubes that freeze your whole house.

It's the uncanny valley.

I should be able to take that on board and be fine with it, but I'm totally not.

I despise adverts.

But I quite like the roofer and locksmith ones.

Although, I'm a bit suspicious that they look so similar due to the aid of AI.

Unless parrot.

Maybe someone is selling a graphics package that draws like a child so you can make your own 'hand drawn' ads.

Bet that uses AI as well.

Can't wait for robowife / sexbot though.

As long as they take your current one in part exchange.

I digress.

Mmmmmmmm sexbot.

It's a very human reaction. Hopefully it'll help keep us alive when Skynet becomes self-aware.

That looks synthetic to me, just a bit too straight and tidy when you look at it.

The AI car ads are polluting the classifieds gradually as well - I'm even seeing Halloween themed ones! Absolutely bloody awful.

I know dealers have been putting fake backgrounds in ads for a few years now, but it's getting ridiculous.

Pretty sure they're AI too. Seen too many, all looking rather too similar.

Which is the big clue. It's like the early days of the internet, where new fads come along, explode then disappear.

Can see it with YouTube thumbnails too, all with the exact same style/layout/font/etc.

It's because the 'humans', assuming they are rendered properly and not as most of them are, like Vincent D'Onofrio's alien wearing a skin suit in "Men in Black", invariably move/talk/act like they're a hairtrigger away from murdering you and wearing your entrails as a suit. Maybe they'll get better but so far I'm consistently repulsed.

It's repellent, I avoid watching anything that uses this; fortunately none of the people I regularly watch has started using them. Even where the thumbnail nominally has the youtuber in it it's been messed with like it's got a ridiculous HDR filter applied. I've reconciled to rolling my eyes at teeth-itching clickbait titles as that's what the algorithm forces them to use, but I hope the AI rubbish gets skipped.

I like the scratch repair one where you can crash and dent your car and they can just rub it off with one wipe and it's as good as new biggrin

The problem with some of them is that they are clearly scams. There's one I saw last week - decorative vases sale because the business is closing down. Some sob story about not being able to sell anything to justify the ultra low prices, and AI ad, imagery and videos throughout the site. It'll be low quality ste from China assuming you get anything and don't end up having your payment details sold on. A couple of the comments in the ads state that they'd paid and not received a thing.
