Craziest thing you've ever caught your dog doing?
Discussion
Two incidents spring to mind here...
I once went out shopping and left the dog in the house for about an hour. I arrived back to find small bits of bright orange plastic scattered up the stairs. Silence in the house. No dog. I made my way up the stairs to find the dog lying on the landing munching on a big pack of Bic razors! The blades had actually come apart from the handles and were all over the floor. I inspected her mouth expecting to find horrific injuries...not a single scratch!
The other, more disturbing story....we'd left the dog at the stables to play with the sheepdogs for a couple of hours. Came back and couldn't find the dog. After a bit of searching we eventually discovered her knee deep in a big muck heap. She appeared to be eating something. I made my way up towards her in wellies only to discover her eating a dead horse! Literally munching away on a foal that had died a couple of days earlier and was awaiting collection. The most rancid sight you can imagine!!!
So, any stupid doggy stories to beat those?...

Dunno about dogs really. Pigeons though. Found a pigeon once that had laid an egg in a bath of cold water and then tried to sit on it in the cold water until she died of hypothermia. I thought that was pretty f

"Animal munches razor blades and suffers no injuries whatsoever" is apparently quite a common story. I've heard variants several times. Sometimes it's chewing broken glass rather than razor blades. One of Gavin Maxwell's otters did it. Gives me the creeps just thinking about chewing razor blades, no idea how they manage it.outlaw biker said:

Show a carnivorous predator/scavenger some carrion and observe natural result...The wife once attempted to grow some tomatoes in post outside our back door.
One or interesting specimens began to turn red but then mysteriously disappeared just at they were almost ripe.
Suspecting birds until so stepped outside to witness the Springer Spaniel we had at the time delicately removing the next ripe tom from the plant and eating it.
He was also a dab hand at removing chocky Christmas tree decorations with out disturbing the tree.
The tradition has followed on to our Collie cross who likes to pick his own blackberries when we are out walking.

My dog did exactly the same, I couldn't believe she wasn't cut! I once went out shopping and left the dog in the house for about an hour. She also once ran into the patio doors
Another time she decided to sqeeze between the sofa and the wall, realising she was too big to make it all the way and decided she didn't want to walk backward the only thing for her to do was to do a flip on to her back then roll over to face the other way.
I was in Wales once with my family, my Auntie was worried about taking her dog off the lead. Everybody assured her it would be fine. She let it off, the dog bolted straight to a 20 foot drop and jumped off. We peerd over expecting to see a splattered dog and it was at the bottom wagging it's tail. No injuries.
My Bassethound was always eating BIC razors! Hell, he even ate a leather shoe once and just left the buckle.
But the most strange was our last old dog who somehow managed to eat a complete packet of digestives nothing special I suppose, but the packet was not even deformed, not a single crease expect where we had top the top off

My border terrier has munched his way through a packet of blue bics before. They were sealed in a packet when we left.
The other week he managed to find his way into a box of tampax and when i returned from shopping he came running up with a string hanging from his mouth!

My b
h (no not MrsT a labrador) disappeared on a walk and was discovered with half her body inside a bloated dead deer chewing away at racid internals.
Has several times caught a rabbit and eaten the whole lot, of course it was then brought back up in the car on the way home, a pile of puke with bits of fur and rabbit ears sticking out is not pleasant
Same dog has had a couple of birthday cakes, once leapt the dividing wall went into a neighbours house and had a cake there, we heard a shout from the neighbour but bythe time we reacted the dog was lying in her bed licking her lips/jowls.
As a pup she chewed through an electrical cable to a storage heater.
There are others, she has not been an easy dog, but we love her.

Our 15 week old Golden Lab pub was attempting VBRJ on our 14 month old Black Lab yesterday. They're both male, and the Black Lab was not impressed. The sneaky little sod lulled the older dog into it by play fighting with him. When he rolled onto his back, the little sex pest pounced.
Our Springer Spaniel frequently attempted death-defying stunts in his younger days. In our old house we had an open fire place in the dining room which we would light during birthday meals etc, on one occasion he decided to investigate and stuck his whole head straight in the flames! On another occasion he was quite content lazing around in my brothers bedroom on the first floor of the house, when he heard my Dad talking ouside in the garden. He shot up and tried to jump out of the window! Luckily my bro was able to catch him by his back legs, I dread to think what would have happened had he not been there.

My friends parents, very well to do couple, had some kind of spaniel thing. Anyway one day with a full house, said dog runs upstairs and returns with a gigantic dildo in its mouth.
!!!! HAHA!My friend's (really) dog used to go through the bin in his bedroom and rip up all the 'tommy tank' tissues that were in there (quite a few) and scatter the debris all over the room.
My Golden Retriever used to attempt to hump anyone that was covered in a blanket.
The same dog used to attempt to hump our Scottish Terrier who was alot smaller than him, he was so stupid (or genius) that he would sometimes be humping her head, she would walk off and he'd still be there humping thin air.
