Hi, got a friend who's thinking of becoming a life coach and she is looking into what training is best. she says that you earn around £100 ph and i have a quick look into it but there doesn't seem to be any formal qualifications, is all of this a scam or does anyone know if it's for really. the training costs anywhere from £350-£8000? big difference? thanks

coach people about their problems, work,family etc. from what i can make out, some even seem to charge more i.e £250 ph for businesses. not bad for working from home.

It's not about problems. It's about helping people achieve what they want. Counsellors and therapists are for problems.

My mates girlfriend is a 'life coach' and has worked for a few big companies (Reuters is one I remember). She makes plenty of cash; 70+ grand a year. As far as I can determine the biggest skills required are being a master blagger and vaguely helping people organise their lives. I doubt any training is going to help.

Charging £100 per Hour IS NOT the same as earning £100 per hour FFS!!!! Does she really think she'll have more than a couple of customers a DAY at most, even when shes 'successful'....?

They are good for a getting a third party, non bias view at your life and help make you make choices about progression etc.
there arent any formal qualifications so blagging is going to be the main factor

NLP practicioner is the required accreditation. Although Derren Brown thinks it's crap... some of it is pretty useful.
