Let me guess...

Pies used those horriffic arctic conditions hehe as reason not to attend work or a similar appointment?

I always loved to challenge myself to go places where no others had been before (that day) when there was heavy snow.
I remember one day i made it into college 20 miles away on pure white dual carriageways (in an N reg 1.6 Escort of all things). I was pretty much the only vehicle on the road, other than recovery trucks and some smug 4x4 owners. Got into college and found out that nobody else had bothered to turn up (even my lecturer who lived about 2 miles away).

Ah well, an early start to playing about in the deserted car parks laugh

Ah yes. Car snowploughs. Charge at the snow until you grind to a halt... reverse out... use the ruts you have just made to allow you to charge a little further next time. Fun biggrin

to be fair though i had to pull the missus up the drive this morning to get her to the road so she could get into work.

she was NOT happy that the landcruiser pulleed her car with ease.
