I love the professional way they called waitrose "tossers" becasue they said the beer was naff. Somehow, I presume that the waitrose buyers know what they are on about...

He seems to have done good job of pissing off the locals. The village is not a posh one, I can't see a price rise and attitude change in their local going down well. As someone said, it's now a restaurant with some beers.

Having said that, pub has got good reviews so may pop along for a nose as it's not too far away.

I am just watching this and am astonished at their arrogance and crap attittude to their customers, both locals and the Corporate ones....!?

When he asked them about locals finding the prices to high and going elsewhere he said "good, you want cheap drinks go to a place that sells cheap drinks...!" what a tozzer!

£14 for main course. £2.8o for a pint, in Yorkshire.....WTF!

I hope they fail absolutely miserably with their idiotic bad attitude!

Aye, they're not coming across well. They wanted a traditional pub, got one, and then proceeded to change it into a wine bar. Like the free holder bloke stated 'see what the customs like in winter once the novelty has worn off'.

It's the old formula isn't it? We all know that beer alone won't keep a pub afloat these days (unless it's a very special pub read The Bell - Aldworth). So you have to do food, but the trick is cashflow and upsetting your locals (winter drinkers) isn't a smart move. Even if you do an off-air rebate loyalty type thing (buy five get one free) so you don't alienate 'incomers'.

Just don't piss off your locals. Even if they do smell of piss.

Not seen this weeks yet, but last week it showed the pub before these clowns got their hands on it & it looked a smashing pub - great atmosphere & cosy at the same time. Looks like a trendy wine bar now - awful

Why can't "slebs" ever understand the concept of "no". Eg, "With no experience of the pub trade, would opening a pub be a good idea?" or "Is this a good beer?".

And while I'm on one, if I hear the phrase "the mother-fker of beers" describing a beer which looks like piss one more time I will smash my tv in

Well good on you....but for the record the same beer went up 60p a pint in three weeks! So if you get what you pay for, what were you getting before.....?
