'Signing' your posts...
Discussion
Seriously, i've noticed this a lot more recently, and for some reason it gets on my nerves a little bit.
Why do people bother to write a post, and then stick
Beefmeister (their name, obviously, not mine)
at the bottom?
Its plainly obvious who the hell you are, its just to the left of what you've written!!
You're not writing as formal letter to the Queen you know.
And besides, every click on your keyboard kills a seal cub somewhere cold, so i've heard, so lay off the 'signatures', and save a few defenseless animals.

Dear Beefmeister,
I have read with great interest your points made about the inclusion of "signatures", where a person adds an extra message to the bottom of a post, detailing the person responsible.
This is despite a name already associated with the aforementioned post that will readily identify the person in question.
Yours faithfully,

I tend to do it in slightly more formal posts, or specifically if I'm acting as a moderator I'll sign it as such, but otherwise I whole heartedly agree - there's a reason we don't have signatures on this site (and I think it is a thousand million times better for it).
You can say that twice. Many forums are almost spoiled by the amount of ghastly stupid rubbish that people put in their signatures, the worst being jokes that weren't funny the first time, let alone the thousandth!Gassing Station | The Lounge | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
