I am pretty confident for two reasons.

1. I have two of them who visit my garden a lot
2. I have video footage one pecking away at a tree (and the ground)...

Seeing as you all performed so well with the last bit of bird identification I thought I'd test you with this one!



It's painted on the wall of the venue of my upcoming wedding and we're wondering if it's a real bird or just one that's been made up for the painting...

It's a Low Flying Shytehawk...

I think it is a bird of paradise, there are 1000's I think. Some with the most beautiful feathers, some with strange collars.

Hmmm, interesting. I've tried to Google that but can't find anything out about it. It must be very rare and you must be very clever for knowing about it.
