Anyone used this ticket agency?

My flat mate bought 6 AC/DC standing tickets for next Tuesday from then on the day of release, @£75 each.

So far, no tickets and just and answerphone when you dial their number. Haven't found anything negative about them on the net. Are the tickets lilkely to arrive (Saturday or Tuesday at the latest)? Or has my flat-mate been had?

Well and truly had I'd say.

I'm very surprised people still fall for these tout websites.

After looking at the website i would say its a scam!

They have a big thing on the homepage about ticket touts - "Beware some online touts" i think this pretty much says it all as if it was a well used genuine website they wouldnt need this on it!

I dont think you will be going to your concert!

Knob-heads can't even spell.

Get your mate to claw his money back via his credit card company, if he was prudent enough to use a credit card to fund these smack-heads.

A colleague of mine was ripped off by a similar bunch, London Ticket Shop, but managed to get his money back in the end.

they do look similar to london ticket shop so be prepared for the worse, however if the gig is not coming up soon then sometimes tickets are not released until a week before. did you use a credit card if so i would get them on it right away. hope it all sorts itself out.

Not me, but these people have

http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews110512.html

And this lot

http://www.blagger.com/db4/company_id/8143/company...

Obviously as I'm a fully paid up member of MI6 I have access to this sort of information that you mere mortals don't have! So I would have been forewarned 'cos I'd have carried out a thorough due diligence process through official Government channels, which of course you were unable to do.......unless you actually had the brains to "Google" "firststopticketshop.com" first!

I presume your "flat mate" is a student, in which case he's probably just received an important part of his education......try checking things out before you hand over your cash to complete strangers!

Come on, there's 2 post days left until the gig, your 'mate' hasn't got tickets yet and no-one is answering the phone.

Do you really need to ask?

Bought on credit card so hoepfully not too much of a drama. He's 'straaaiian....so a little naive when it comes to these things.

The only reason I'm concerned is that I've also got a pair of tickets which I'm auctioning on eBAY, as we were gonna use his tickets to go. Obviously if his aren't gonna turn up then I'll want to pull my auction.

To be fair to the OP those two links don't refer (as far as I can see) to FirstStopTicketShop specifically just other dodgy online ticket agencies.

Are the London Ticket Shop, firststopticketshop.com and theonlineticketshop.com all the same place ?

Because I went to your first link (which goes to a review of theonlineticketshop.com) and entered firststopticketshop.com and it found no information on them.

I went to your second link (which was a link to a review of london-ticket-shop.co.uk ) did a search on company name for firststopticketshop and again it found no information ?

Sorry, seems like you've been had; hope you can get your money back. As a future tip, personally I never order anything from a website which doesn't give a UK address, and if it does have one but I'm still unsure, I will check google earth to see where the address actually is, if it's a farmhouse in the middle of nowhere, but the website advertises a full warehouse, I know to avoid.

Faaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't buy them online from some mickey mouse outfit, I'm merely asking on behalf of one of our dimwitted, overly trusting Antipode cousins (twice removed)........thanks for the replies though. Comfirms what I told him 6 months ago.

Address is on City Road in Old Street but is just a mailbox.

Never mind, not my cash. Besides, he can afford it, it's about 5 hours work for him (why is it that all the academically successfull, big City earners have no common sense whatsoever???).

You can still go to the gig and make a few quid if you get him to buy your tickets from ebay wink

I believe the way that these places work is to advertise tickets that they don't yet have, in the hope that they can get them somehow (Ebay, skint people) closer to the event. Then add a nice profit and sell them on.

Scabs.
