Got talking to a mate of my middle boy in the village today who was with skateboard..

Told him about my board back in 'the day' - a Stacey Peralta Warptail, with ACS651's and Blue Kryptonics - he looked at me like I was from Mars...

Have I remembered correctly or is my memory playing tricks? I seem to recall the Blue Kryptonics were 'hard'......

You'll end up on a register somewhere if you go round talking to young boys abotu your "kryptonics!!"
laugh

His board is probably from ebay and he knows nothing about it. When we were younger, you had to research and save up for stuff like boards bikes etc, so you knew more about them. Now it's all chinese shyte and they are just given it, then throw it away when they get bored/ break it!

Disposable society nowadays

I had (& still have) a Vision Ken Park, Indy trucks and Santa Cruz Slimeball seconds. Loved it.

I also picked up a Birdhouse Bucky Lasek with Indy trucks and Ricta Rune Glifberg wheels when I was at the X Games in Philly a few years back. 'Tis lovely.

Various Dog Town decks up to 12" wide, 9 inch Trackers and Magatron trucks (used to go through 'em) and Dog Town Rock n Roller wheels that I had turned off the rear recesses on. Had some Bones wheels and some Bel Air Lipbombs too... loved it

Z Flex Jay Adams, Tracker Mids, G&S Wonkers with Sims bearings. I cant believe that I remembered all that, it must be 25 years since I've thought about my old board.
