I hear those disturbed people at People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals are calling for a ban on sheepdogs.

Seems the sheep are getting stressed...

Their solution is to replace the sheepdog with twenty men, waving flags and running round the moors shouting WUFF....

No, really, I heard the man from PETA on the radio this morning...

PS...The number of men is made up for dramatic effect, and would be insufficient for a field of 1000 sheep...

Probably...

Wouldn't you just ban sheep, then they wouldn't get stressed or eaten.

Am surprised that the geneticists have not yet found away to breed sheep without legs, thus forgoing the need for shepherding! spin

Nah, sheep need legs...

Came across a dead one on the road this morning.

Without its legs pointing towards the heavens, I might have thought it was resting, tired and shagged out after a long squawk

hehe

I see failed logic on my part, re sheep without legs and, to yours for pointing sheep without the legs with which to point. hehe

...and I would get fat! Not from eating leg-of-lamb that is no more; but from lack of exercise of chasing sheep with wellies donned.

That's fine we'll do it australian style.

With pickup trucks, lets see the sheep then.

My mum's recipe for leg of lamb wouldn't be so good then.

Have given this a tad more thought and; do it with people instead of dogs? I suggest they first look to how the police fared in shepherding before suggesting it be taken out of the hands paws of dogs!

The way I see it- If an animal had half the chance it would probably eat/maim me.

So I don't feel so guilty when I eat an animal.

I believe they call it evolution/survival of the fittest.

Quite an old concept. Chap called Darwin apparently.

A sheep would kill/maim you?

WTF have you been brought up, Grand Theft Auto: Sheep Killer City?

Jesus wept, i didn't realise people are that ignorant about animals.

Even a bull wont try and hurt you unless you scare it.

Wasn't it PETA who wanted to rename all fish 'Nemos' so children wouldn't want to eat them?

Crazy beggars!
The sheep are evolving to realise that the dogs aren't going to eat them anyway!
20 men running around waving flags aren't going to stress them?
If they want to do something useful they should try and stop the stress inflicted on the sheep by Welshmen on the way home from the pub on friday and Saturday night! hehe

I read about that too, renamed to "rescue shelter boys",

I think they politely told them to go forth and multiply.

PETA are a bunch of utter loons. One day there will be hard evidence that links the political organisation to the animal "rights" terrorists then they'll be fked.

It's only a matter of time.
