My big bro' is getting married in the summer, and I've been tasked with organising his stag do. I'd originally intended to plan a trip abroad somewhere for a long weekend of boozing and activities, but it proved an impossible task to find a date that everyone could do.

So now I'm looking for some fun activities in the UK to do in a day. I'm thinking something motorsport related would be good, maybe going karting at this place in MK, it looks like pretty hardcore karting, and both myself and my bro love karting. Anyone got any recommendations?

He also mentioned something like rafting would be fun, but I don't know if there's much rafting to be done in Blighty, but if you guys know otherwise it'd be good to know!

Any other suggestions for suitable activities would be helpful too!

Cheers biggrin

That looks pretty cool!

I'm in a similar position myself... we were planning a trip away - but I've just had a bit of a reality check and remembered people havent got piles of cash to p155 up the wall now frown

Also the groom seems to be making motions away from a drink fueled weekend - and at the end of the day - hes the main man!

I was thinking a decent kart grandprix + a concert in the evening if possible (that way people can carry on drinking or enjoy the music)

...throw in a decent meal a few beers to top the night off, possibly in the hotel bar to save people having to face wives after a few beers!. Job done.

We've got a fair mix of ages on ours too by the looks of things.

Ta for responses guys, sounds like I'm after similar thing to you Steamer!

That link looks good thanks Nolar Dog, not sure if it's practical for us to get there though (coming from London). I'll ask the other guys though, cheers.

There'll be plenty of time for booze and strippers in the evening, don't worry!

Oooh good call!

Not sure about the escorts though, unless they like karting?

Is there anything else around there that you can fill a day up with? (I've got plenty of research to do yet, i just wondered if you knew anything off the top of your head)

Daytona is a great circuit, but be aware the nightlife in MK isnt great.

And there's only one strip club.

Ask for Tanya.

Just coming back to this after it was posted yesterday - has anyone got any exprience of organised packages?

I've just looked at:

http://www.eclipseleisure.co.uk/

Seems ideal - they publish a website for your guests so they know what to expect, where to find it and they can provide the transport between the events too.

Pheonix club?

If it is, I wouldn't bother to be honest.

I've been trying to find the time to launch this but haven't got round to it for a number of reasons:

It's unlikely anyone would take the chance, given how important a weekend it is, but if anyone is prepared to be the Guinea Pig for the launch event we'd customise it and do it at cost price.

+1 for the Daytona track, great fun even if the marshals seemed a bit harsh, but still it was a freebie so couldn't complain.
I wonder if the video in the briefing is still done by Dani Behr and Shane Richie in the cheesiest possible manner? anyone know?

How about some camping kinda shindig to the Lake District? You could spend the day rafting/kayaking and the evenings sitting around a campfire (if anywhere allows that anymore) drinking beer and cooking sausages. Then wake up to do it all again, or go karting on the way back down to London. I'll come.

For mine we just booked a room in a Travelodge, sat around in a circle wking, drinking sugar free orange squash, and crying. Best two days of my life!
