For a second I thought that was 2 daisies in the same picture trying to reach each other with their tongues.

I saw a mutant daisy once. The stem, instead of being a round section, was almost rectangular.

Evidently it didn't present a significant evolutionary advantage as I haven't seen another one!

ETA: Have you used any lawn weedkiller? It may have had a small dose, just enough to mess up its growth.
