The 'Red Budget'

It may seem longer but it was only 3 days ago that the 'Green Budget' was unveiled. What began as a small gathering of protesters, expressing their displeasure at the now defunct Labour Government quickly escalated into a full scale riot that the G20 protesters of a few weeks ago could only dream of. More and more angry citizens poured into the capital and the latest estimation stands at around 20 million protesters.
The protests began in a peaceful and civilised manner, however the extreme violence that has been seen over the last two days appears to have been precipitated by the heavy handed police response. Gordon Brown said in a hastily arranged press conference "This protest is illegal and the police have been instructed to disperse it by any means at their disposal. We will not allow our Climate-Change credentials to be held to ransom. We stand firmly by the Green Budget."
904 Arrests were made for unspecified crimes under counter-terrorism laws, before a state of emergency was declared, by which time, the protesters we’re easily able to overcome the military with their sheer numbers alone.
It appears that a small party calling themselves “The PH Party” have successfully gained enough support from the protesters to launch a coup to fill the vacuum left by members of the Labour Party fleeing the country. The main opposition parties have since relinquished any claims to power, with only ‘Plane Stupid’ living up to their name and putting up a resistance which was violently and comprehensively routed by the mob.
It is widely expected that their first task will be to unveil what is being touted as the ‘Red Budget’ in the next few hours.

How would you fix the country, given that there is no money in the pot and 20m people are already rioting over high taxes?

To be honest I'd be too busy chasing the current bunch as far out to sea as I could shoot what ever tank based weaponry I could lay my hands on. And then calling in the RAF for an afternoon's target practice and strafing runs. Then I'm off down the pub for a hard earned beverage. Only when I wake up the next day/afternoon will I even consider anything as complicated as fixing the mess that is now the UK.
