Son's off to Magaluf - how much dosh does he need for a week

My 18yo lad is off on holiay to Magaluf with three mates for a week in June ... simple question to those of you young enough to do the same thing (or have done recently):

How much money will he need to take to see him though the week bearing in mind it's self catering (I can see him just eating crap and being pi55ed all week - great)

He reckons he is taking £700 ... ! Apart from the fact he hasn't got that kind of money, I think he is mad.

sounds about right.
You'll be surprised on how much is spent on alcohol, sex, some drug and some food.
I did about a £1K in about 2 week 9 years ago when i went to Tenerife with the boys.

100 quid a day seems alot but I reckon about a grand,

Club entrances
Excersions
Bike hires
Titty bars
Bail money

and thats before the drinks and chips.

£40 per day beer & fags - pissed every night
£5 - £10 Scooter hire
£30 - either lost or wasted on 'other things' jetskis / women / club entrance

Repeat 7x and thats a messy week at 18 years old!

I'd say that will do him okay but wouldn't hurt to have a bit in reserve as its much more expensive over there this year, plus if he does a few of the trips ie booze cruise, stag and hen night or such like they will set him back a few Euros.

But what ever he take he will probably end up spending.

He'll have a scream though..

I went zante last year with my gf & we done a grand on booze & food in a week so 700 should be enough for one

edit: if he joins for example a 20wentys piss up group bout 140 euro for a week I think he will get discount drinks at bars

you spend about £250 - £350 with the reps at the start of the holiday to obtain entrance into the clubs for "free" for the duration of the holiday.
But they do give you some booze in exchange.

That large payment does work out for the better though, in the long run.
You save yourself about £70 over 2 weeks, well for me it did.
