I have some content which will need compiling and writing later in the year, a thousand words maybe more. And there may just be another 50 jobs to follow, one every month or two. Although I'm not quite sure on the specifics yet.

Roughly speaking, I need someone to reorganise and then re-write existing content, evolving this content into witty, snappy and engaging copy for the tourism industry.

Any recommendations, or interested parties here ears
And does anyone know the going rate for copywriters?
Im not necessarily looking for someone who does this for a living, just someone who can get the job done and will hopefully be around for more work in the future. I figured PH would be the best place to start my search hehe

The work should be fairly laid back, I dont mind the wooshing sounds of deadlines flying by, time isn't of the essence.

In the industry, is it also considered fair to ask a copywriter to put together 200 words on a chosen subject, to gauge their suitability before deciding whether to contract them for the task?

Thankin' ye.

I'll have a word with both.
Nervys own site is fairly amusing IIRC.
Keep the recommendations coming, a long short-list would be good.

Strewth cobber. I could do something as smooth as cats piss for a price lower than a dead dingo's dick, but that english part has me well and truly rooted.

Post up a sample piece and let the mob have a go.

Pick the result (and writer) you like best.

Id rather keep it offline for now, besides which, the 'artists' are likely to perform somewhat differently via email than they would do with mic in hand the PH stage.

Lord only knows where I got that idea from.

If you email it to me I might forward it to someone. Or I might ignore it.

ETA

The guy I sit next to used to write for 'Not the something o'clock news' and 'Smith & Jones' and some other st he gets excited about when he receives his royalty cheques for.

He's part time here, so may fancy something to pass time hobby wise.

I would agree with that - his own website is a funny read too!

I'm not exactly a regular here and neither am I a comedy genius but I have spent a lot of time reworking existing content into something that scans well (mostly local authority jargon into something regular people can understand!). Send me a private message if you want me to have a look at it for you.
