If the thread title has any significance then I am not alone.

It involves GPS, t'internet and getting out and about

I've never seen a thread relating to this...but cryptically, I've been berated for being a geek even getting involved.

So if you are in the know....Would be good to have a PH GC Team!

PM me if needed.

Using my Enigma machine (or Google, as it's better known) I have cracked the OP's code.

And it's not even half as interesting as I'd hoped

I don't know why but that really made me laugh - simple things and all that!

We have a similar game. It's called wander about the hills looking for the lost walker/climber/mtbr/member of the public wanting to commit suicide (delete as appropriate).

Joking apart, it's far more fun if you use a real map, rather than a GPS (it's too easy).

I've searched on here before for this, thinking surely there must be someone on here who does it !!!! Lots of fun and incredibly frustrating sometimes. We're amateurs in comparison to many but working on discovering more !

People hide things and publish coords on website, other people look for them, sometimes there's treasure too smile Its fun if you like being outdoors and like geo-type things. They did a bit on Countryfile about it a few weeks ago, its strangely addictive and worryingly geeky and people think you're odd.

Ah, they've been doing easter egg hunts like this for ages, not as fancy with GPS co-ords, but clues and directions at different spots.

As an equally geeky thing, i have loads of co-ords of various aircraft wrecks left up on hills from 60 years ago which would be interesting to go and look at some time.
