Im currently 'seeing someone' and last night after dinner we headed back to mine. She asked if she could laze around in one of my tracksuits as her dress wasnt comfortable to sit around in. I agreed and told her they are in the 2nd drawer in my room. So as she comes back in and asks about the photographs I have in my bottom drawer (cabinet has four drawers) These happen to be pics of me and my ex on holiday etc, so she fell out with me for a while, she was supposed to only go into the 2nd drawer and I let her know this and she shouldnt be browsing through my stuff anyway (Nothing to hide though).

I know a few of my friends keep photos around of their old flames, however is it common for people to hold onto photos of their ex's and has your current squeeze ever stumbled upon them?

If they have a shrine I would be a touch worried but, so long as they aren't on display then everyone has a past.

I have boxes of old photos and am certainly not going to search through them searching for ex's just to pacify my latest conquest.

Most of my photos are digital, so it was pretty easy for me to simply hit delete on a few that were selected...

No point in keeping them anyway, if you ask me.

Unless you're not over her?

So are you not allowed to keep photos of holidays, celebrations etc just because an ex might be in them/was involved??

There are so many pics of me and various exs all over the interweb that anyone who dates me just has to accept that.

I see no problem with it.
My exes are part of my life, usually before I even met the significant other that followed them. If they have a problem with me having pictures of my life before them then they have trust issues to sort out. After all, it's only a piece of paper/digital file.
'Revealing' pictures might be another issue altogether however. Might be better to ditch them...

Whether you have pictures of your ex, or of you interfering with the cat, isnt really the issue is it?

The issue is that the suspicious, conniving bint has been through all your draws looking for a) a sex toy b) your porn stash or c) pictures of you with your ex (or the cat).

From this you can safely assume that you wont be able to add her as a facebook friend or (especially) leave your mobile unattended, as she will be on it like a dog eating hot mince, looking for something else to throw her toys out about.

Sack. It. Off.

Kept all of the letters, photos going back years. Part of who I am. It would take a particularly insecure kind of person to keep wanting to know about ex's.
