I have just seen Sky News and Kay Burley was interviewing Max Clifford about the Swine flu as he is PR Consultant to the Scottish Couple who were diagnosed with it on their return to the UK from Mexico.
What on earth has this country come to. Do they need a PR Consultant when they have this????
I presume that they are going to make money from the messed up media when they have a mild case of this, will be fine and hardly worthy of having a PR Consultant.
I dispair.

This is why I don't watch the news or read the papers.

Sorry, I'm obviously confused.

What story do they have to tell that they need a PR agent ?

I can only imagine Max Clifford on the news saying yep they have a bit of a runny nose and the sniffles ?

What am I missing?

Ah Max "the puppet master" Clifford punch
The world would be a better place without him.

I am strangely compelled to hate anyone who engages his services.

Story? What story?

Went on holiday, got a bit of a cough, came home, went to hozzie for a bit, am fine now.

Good, am glad you're OK, now fk off.

And Max Clifford commenting on a worldwide pandemic? What next, Jodie Marsh's insight on the state of North Korean nuclear programme?

Speaking as a real public relations consultant, can I just point out that Max Clifford is not a PR consultant. He's a publicist. He's also a a scum-sucking bottom feeder of the lowest order.

Trifle unfair. He's giving the media what they want to sell magazines, papers and advertising, because the great british public buy it.

The fact he's good at it and makes money also reveals another british trait, envy.

phone 'Hi, this is Max Clifford's secretary. That's right, Max Clifford the publicist. He heard about your unfortunate incident with swine flu and reckons he can get you a million or two pounds. Is that something you'd be interested in?'

Just the sort of thread I like biggrin

I will have to come up with another login to make any real comments... I know him VERY well and have been party to a lot of the Jade saga and those involved with her over the past year. At this junction I can only say that some comments made on this thread are pretty damn accurate. Hell.... if only I could tell the full story wink

Oh, and as someone pointed out, Max is a publicist and, as such, helps publicise people and their stories/plight. As much as this may surprise some of you, I was with him this week when he actually turned down a client eek

I'll keep watching with interest...
