the first thing you'd do (or buy) after you'd cashed the cheque and had some serious money to play with?

I'd grab my passport and bank card and little else, head straight to the airport and get out of this place to get my head together. What about you?

To be honest, yes, that is probably what I'd do!

I'd go and sit on a beach in the Maldives for a few weeks to figure out what I want to do with the money!

Anyone know how it all works when you win? I assume the claims line is open all night, so you ring on the Friday to confirm your ticket number and stuff, but how soon do you get access to the money? Do you just go to NLHQ on the saturday to get given a big cheque and pop round the corner to the local Abbey?

How is it made available? They must have schemes and advisers and stuff that you can make use of, anyone know anything more?

Fly out to Thailand to stay with my friend for a few days as I know she would (as always) help clear my head and keep me grounded.

Then I'd come back and start spending. smile

What I've always wanted to know is, how do you get a credit card limit to match the wealth? I mean, say you've got a credit rating that shot to st and then win 100 million. How are you going to prove to the credit card company that you're not a liability and have more income than some small countries??

First thing I'd buy...

An Aston Martin DB9. I have always wanted one - so why not?

Send thing... a pint in my favourite pub. Then I'd probably continue my life as it is at the moment for a few months, dumbfounded as to what I would spend the money on. Probably spend it on nothing, and after settling things like mortgage/loans/debts etc for me/family, i'd give large sums away to close family and friends.

If I won £110,000,000; I sure as hell would not have a £110,000,000 lifestyle. I have the lifestyle I want, with no real need for anything, and no real debts (aside from mortgage). So wining a large sum of dosh would just inflate my bank balance.

Yeah, I'm boring!

Buy st. Lots of st. Houses, cars, a boat, clothes, watches, more clothes, furniture, more cars. I would quit my job. I'd move out. I'd buy my best friends cars and cltohes. I'd buy my parents houses. And I would be very very happy. And then I'd throw a MASSIVE party at a house I shall buy specifically. biggrinbiggrinbiggrin One can dream...

Tell me employer to do one.

Tell my housemates to tell their employers to do one.

Buy a Lambo.

Then proceed to do what I do anyway, sit on PH and eat too much.

They have an agreement with the banks so that the money actually shows in your account on the same day of confirmation if before 3pm or the next day (even if the weekend is a non bank working day) So if you claim on a saturday night you can actually start spending by 10am on sunday.

I have often wondered if you could get the Lambo' show room to open especially on the sunday morning though, and DVLA, and be able to drive away within the hour? The do say that with that sort of money anything is possible.

If Lambo wouldn't then I am sure Romans/Hartley would. DVLA might be a sod though..
