Sort of advertising but not really seeing as a fair few pistonheaders have had input into this....apologies if rule bending here but think a few might be interested

I don't think I've seen anything similar in the market place actually.
Next question; how do I make a bit of cash from what could be a very effective medical use for this stuff?

not as easy as you might think....you need in vitro data to show theory behind your claim, then trial data showing that the theory holds up in practice. Depending on how 'invasive' your medical thing is you'll need to be registered as a device or medicine and then go through the joy of pricing reimbursement with the NHS tariff setters...then get it registered on pharmacy systems...then get medics to prescribe or use! to make s success of it you'll need serious medics to endorse and champion it probably....if it's good, however, and you do go through the above pain....you stand to make a LOT of money....(for example, E45 cream does abt £1.2m/month on the NHS in addition to all the OTC sales....

Actually I've had a butchers in some of the catalogues I have and there are similar products that claim to do what I'm thinking of, but they are all reasonably pricey.
I'm a Podiatrist and we see loads, and loads of folks with very dry skin on the feet. This can be a serious complication for uncontrolled diabetes or people with reduced tissue viability, skin can crack and become infected, limbs can end up coming off etc etc.
A lot of these people are physically unable to apply an emollient, which if applied daily can virtually eliminate the risk of fissuring and improve skin condition no end.
What I'm thinking of is a bed sock, made from your "stuff" - you bob it on at night and it rehydrates the skin. The pop sock could be put on using one of the multitude of devices available. If the material works without any additional cream to apply and can be comfortably worn in bed then people might use it.
It all depends what your tights are made of though and do they actually work to rehydrate the skin??

I'm looking into bamboo at the moment cos it's just a fantastic yarn - very very comfortable, very soft, long thread (less irritation for already irritated skin) and naturally anti-bac and anti-fungal (though to a varying degree)...and it's so so much better ecologically (yes Im ghey) Our tech then adds a whole lot more which I'll detail in email
