We have all been in relationship break ups, and all dealt with them in different ways.
I would hope that we are all mature about it.
One of my ex BFs rang me last night, very upset, as he had just split up with his girlfriend after some 3 years.
He has told her that he does not want to finish, but she is adamant. He is a really great guy, and sounds very upset.
The final straw was a txt message that she sent him last night, when he asked how she was.
Without wanting to get banned from PHs, the transcript went much like this......

It's over. We had a great time, but as I write this message, I have just sh---ed a hunk that I met at a club. I am a dirty little s--t really, and not the little angel that you always thought I was. Take care. It's over.

Heartless and insensitive, or what?

I would 'win' this so easily there's not even any point in prostituting my pain on the internet and actually quoting the text.

She was being cruel to be kind - if that doesn't create a clean break, what will?

OP, just to check you aren't making us dally in the porchway of the house of hypocracy, if this is such a really great guy, why is he an ex?

He is a really nice guy. I dated him years ago, when I was a lot younger and more naive.
I can not even remember why we split.
I am in a very happy relationship now, but like a lot of my past partners, he remains a good friend.

So your ex bf rang you after being dumped. Take no notice, he's just after a sympathy shag.

Oh that's hardly a surprise & you've saved me the effort of coming clean with you about my conquests. Another thing, get checked out as I only sleep with skanks and have warts.

ciao.

Good on her....makes a change from a bloke doing it. Anyway, probably all lies, I mean if I was fking a hunk, I certainly wouldn't waste any time texting my ex, when there is much more fun things to do hehe

Awesome. yes

To be honest if you want to make it absolutely plain it's over and the other one isn't cooperating - hell - it worked didn't it?

Oh. And under no circumstances engage in the sympathy shag business. They are ex-es for a reason.

I contracted genital warts several years ago and chopped them off with a scapel. I keep one, though, which is relatively well hidden in skin fold, just for this very reason. So that I can turn around and say look at this, you may have been a slut, but now you are a slut with warts!

Have been married for two years now, so thinking of chopping last one off now...
