seems i've had my head up my arse for the past 4 years, or possibly i'm finally growing up... hehe

I've recently started living my life rather than just existing, going places and actualy being fairly civilised rather than going out to get raknashed.

I've been thinking about things to do and places to go, I wanted to go to Le mans this year but i was a little late on the uptake. So i've decided to "borrow" my fathers race car and trailer it out to nurburgring.

But i cant do that every weekend, so i'm looking for other idea's...

what does everyone fill their spare time with? biglaugh

Buy a map, a compass and a pair of boots.

You will never run out of places to go given a little imagination.

If you don't mind spending money?

Go to your local Golf Club and get some lessons.

... and the PH answer is: build a Caterham. yes

Practice an instrument for an hour a day.

Within 5 years you'll be pretty good. Enough to get you laid anyway.

I was just curious as to what other people get up to and maybe pick up a few idea's along the way.

I've started shooting again and i do play golf now and again, go to Silverstone when anything half decent is on as its only an hour away, so its not like im sat here waiting for people to tell me what to do hehe

Rock climbing, it's awesome socially and the locations can be amazing.

A side effect is good body toning too, which never goes down badly smile

Trust it's road-legal, otherwise one of your new pastimes will merely be driving around Europe towing a trailer.

Are you not allowed to take full race cars around it then? I've made an assumption again haven't i... bks!

I quite like the idea of rock climbing, i take it you can just turn up and fall off repeatedly to start with?

Have a kid, you'll not need to find ways to fill your time for a while.

Mountain biking, skiing (when possible), playing the guitar, going to gigs, sailing (occasionally) and generally playing with cars. That and wasting time on PH.

I take it that it's fully road legal, taxed, insured, road registered? smile

The Nurburgring is treated as a one-way public toll road and German motoring laws apply, (for Touristfahrten days, anyway), so unless you can legally drive your vehicle on a public road, you can't take it on the Ring.
