Two years ago, I organised a PH trip to the Royal Air Force Museum at Hendon.
I offered myself as a "tour guide" for the visit and I thought it all went very well - even if I say so myself smile

I was wondering if there would be any interest in a similar type of expedition to the Imperial War Mueseum at Duxford?
I would be happy again to offer myself as a guide/host/expert nerdI am fairly well versed on the aircraft on display at Duxford and the history of the airfield.
The major difference between Duxford and Hendon is that Duxford charges an entrance fee whereas Hendon is Free Admission.
I would intend to have this event on a "non-air display day" as these are less busy and are less crowded.
I was thinking of a Saturday or Sunday in June or July.

If there is a good response, perhaps the mods might make this a "sticky".
I'm not altogether sure exactly which forum in which I should post this so I have put it in both "Boats, Planes and Trains" and "The Lounge".

The danger with putting it in a "specialist" forum only is that people might miss it.

Maybe it should be in East Anglia forum (Is that abroad?) but equally the pleasures should be experienced by everyone, maybe not the Germans and Welsh though.

I will come, never been and drive past it many times. biggrin

ETA: I just looked at your profile, you are well hot! biggrin
