It seems that it is all the fashion to hold a party with someone who has the disease so that everyone can deliberately catch it!

The 1918 flu came in a mild spring wave that did no harm, then in a winter wave that killed millions. Those who had caught it in the spring didn't catch it in the winter, their immune system was prepared. People think it might be the same this time so want to catch the mild spring flu.

Also the government figures for who has the flu are a joke. It is several factors bigger. It is just that the symptoms are so very mild that people are just getting on with life. Also they don't want to tell the authoorities and have the quarantine, Tamiflu for contacts, regime forced on them.

I've had flu all this week.

I could hold a party at the cost of £100 per person.

Actually, the government's pandemic advisor is apparently recommending exactly that! Well - sort of - reduced doses to build up immunity.

I went to one, bloke on the door wouldn't let me in, said to me "Are you a pig?" I said "Well I tried but the helmet and baton didn't suit me,"

Shame. Later on I heard it hog wild. My mate pulled a right little bit of crackling. Could he be anymore rasher? Might've ended up with the scratchings.

Change the fking recordrolleyes Do you not think that medical science might have moved on a bit since 1918 and that a vaccine will be available by the winter flu season?

Wonder if the Duke's considered the potential here for his risk of some aquatic variant......fish flu, or maybe a dose of fin and tail or a nasty case of blue gill...... hope he wears a mask when hauling in his big fat landings.
