He was one of the most entertining people on here. Very sad I think.
Ohh and Nolar Dog to answer your question from UC's last thread, this car was mine. Sadly it had to be broken for parts in the end but many bits ended up on Penti Arikalas old Group A Starion so it lives on.

Look at what they are doing to Jack Blag on General Motorsport now, I bet it puts a lot of people off posting and a lot of people off joining.

Phew! it wasnt the one that Clarkson 'wasted' on topgear then!
I loved cars from that 'transformer styled' period of automotive design.
Clarkson was the main reason I found out about the Starion and dreamed of getting one, I nearly exploded with excitment when they had that one on Top Gear and I had just bought mine.I loved cars from that 'transformer styled' period of automotive design.
That car was rebuilt after Top Gear apparently and it still about. One of the guys from the Starion owners club who sold it to Clarkson and was there for the filming said that it absolutely trounced the other two cars (except in suspension and Top speed tests) so they made most of the results up to increase the tension at the end. IIRC
The paternal need is strong here.

I just assumed the fact that 'Not-all-here' was signing off his posts as 'Thom' might have been an indicator of that.
And did you read the bit where he says he'd like to be left in peace?OllieWinchester said:

Thanks for the info there - must admit I do REALLY like these cars (I can still remember the original advert in CAR magazine... it was a proper performance car advert which would have H&S nanny state watchdogs spluttering out their decaf)
Although I did also like Hammonds 6 series in the same test - different beast though.
PS: Sorry just realised this wasnt actually a Starion appreciation thread
I just got a bit carried away when I saw the photo!Edited by Steamer on Friday 8th May 22:06
