Met Bez today

Met Bez from the Happy Mondays today, was at an event at The Lowry and saw him so went over and said hello. I met him a couple of years ago and was very suprised he remembered me.

We got chatting, I asked how he was and he the same to me etc, after a couple of minutes of general chat he asked how my wife was doing, told him great and then he asked after my son. So I reminded him I have a daughter, he looked suprised, then confused then the penny dropped. He thought I was someone else, laughed about it and walked away leaving me feel like a wally in front of a load of strangers lol

The event was in a big open plan room and everytime we made eye contact there was this awkward mutual embarassment.

Could have been worse!

Many moons ago I was delayed on the same flight out of Miami as Mark King from Level 42 fame.

My dad was a big fan of his, so after a little while chatting to him I dropped the 'can I have your autograph for my Dad?' he didnt mind at all. HOWEVER at this point the girl I was with chirped up and also asked for his autograph for her dad...

again he didnt mind...

...until she followed up with: 'My dad will be so happy - he thinks all your Crocodile Dundee films a brill!'
