Going to meet a mate of mine later in central Croydon before going to see a 'gig'.

Any decent boozers over there anybody knows ? Use to work over there but it was many years ago so have no idea anymore.

The second person to simply answer 'NO' is just like soooooo boring and so really unfunny. biggrin

Your best bet is to find a bar near the gig, it will be full of fans rather than Croydonites.

'The best pub by far in Croydon is The Oval Tavern, Oval Road - my local.
Selection of ale's, Live Music on Thursday evening and friendly locals smile

Oval:

Green Dragon:

If you want somewhere more central, try the Green Dragon on the high-street.

If you are going to the Fairfield Halls and heading in from East Croydon,
the Oval is closer.

Much of Croydon is a hell-hole, so don't, repeat don't, try anywhere in
Central Croydon unless you want to be surrounded by uber-chav's and be
dodging punches all evening.'

Enjoy smile

Errmm, its a Chas and Dave 'gig'. I'd rather not go drinking with the fans as they'll be mostly using straws hehe
