Oh, well that sucks then.

I take back my 'well done', and my smileys.

I demand compensation for all effort I wasted on this congratulations!

(But still, well done. I have my first lesson on June 1st, but I'm going driving for the first time on Thursday! biggrin )

And me Rob.

Hence the thread..

There must be something there me thinks.

Or maybe me and her will be stuck in the train station eating a baguette.

She'll love that.

Her own fault. There's a football stadium too, but it will be empty?

I always just consider it as a train station. I've never heard of anyone going there for a day out. Certainly not a fun day out.

The railway museum at Crewe is supposed to be quite good if you appreciate good engineering and want to facilitate a break up with the girlfriend. biggrin

Other than that, I cannot for the life of me think of anything else interesting about Crewe. Sorry!

I live in Crewe! Once you've seen a few Bentleys and the Train Museum there is nothing else of note.

Seriously, NOTHING.

Oulten Park isn't far away though.

My Gran lives in Crewe. Over the past 21 years, I have concluded all that is there is a large train station, the Bentley factory, a football stadium and quite a few kebab shops. Oh, and a couple of pubs that I wouldn't fancy stepping into unless heavily armed.

Actually, it's a nice enough place, but pretty dull.

A few shops but nothing you won't have seen elsewhere, there is a cinema with a bowling alley next door both nothing special. As for food there are a few fast-food places and that sort of thing, again nothing great. The fish & chip shop around the back of the bus station won some national award for best chips, I think its still called Les's Fish Bar.

You could see everything in about two hours I think.

There is a BARC North West meeting at Oulton Park on saturday,

Formula fords, formula renault, caterhams, mx5's saloon cars a decent mix not that expensive to get in and a nice place to be if the sun is out..

racing starts just before lunch - qualifying beforehand and finishes about 6:30

Some good eateries around crewe - just dont think it's worth going into crewe itself..

I'm racing at the BARC meeting - qualifying starts early, and the racing is in the afternoon. Weather is forecast to be rubbish though frown

It is a st hole.I lived in Crewe for a couple of years. Why on earth would she want to go to Crewe?

A Bentley factory tour would be nice, but you aint getting in there (unless your buying one) I tyhink every few years they will let people round.

Seriously, keep driving and go to Chester, or Nantwich...then at least you can have a beer/lunch without being mugged by a skin headed chav looking for smack.

Mother-in-law lives there. It's a hole.

The locals are known as Crewtons (as in fried bread cubes but spelled like that) and are about as entertaining.

Just don't, that's all.
