Let's say you have a suit that fits well on the shoulders but is loose around the waist as you have a v-shaped torso. Can you have the suit jacket adjusted to fit snuggly around the buttons?

Yes

Should be doable - it's amazing what you pick up when your wife alters clothes for her job...

PM her for details - lil'missleadfoot on here.

I've has similar alterations done in the past, I had a local italian chap who did it in his sewing room at home.

Was very pleased with the results but was not cheap though, certainly only worth doing on a sit you're planning on keeping for a while.

Cheers, I will definitely have it done. I have a 41 inch chest and a 32 inch waist so it's a bit baggy around the middle.

Yes, you can - it's what I have to do as I have a similarly weird torso.

They take material out where the back panels meet the side panels, and fit it that way. If I buy Reiss suits off the peg for work, they charge £20 to do this.

Any tailor can do it - they pin it up while you have it on, send it away and do it.

Leave some metarial in, so you can have it taken back out again when you put some weight on again after a year eating pies and off training...
