Or is it just that nobody is really happy with their lot? (Apart from me. )

I find myself biting my lip to avoid saying, "Oh, just cheer up ffs!"

Aye, the joking through the rage thing is a good one... and most of my friends are fairly happy, but we're young, so I suppose we have no excuse to be grumpy and the like.

Roll on weekends, holidays and mooching off ones parents...

Ive had a bad few weeks, work has just been so crazy that Ive even taken a week off sick, but most people seem to be stressed out, overworked, skint etc at the moment!

Give it a try, actually it's not as bad as you'd think. Although I'm not sure I did too much when I did work. Apart from surf on this place.

My mates are the same....am sure it's an age thing, because I don't remember everyone moaning as much when I was younger. But back then all we really cared about was where our next drink was coming from

Even with all I have going on in my life right now, am happy for the first time in years. I wake up happy, I spend my day happy, I go to bed happy...but I too still moan, well I am only human.

Once all your friends have mortages, and kids, life becomes a lot more serious.. So I guess they moan a lot more..... Plus these days people seem to have reduced their "British stiff upper lip" and will happily, when you ask if they are ok, tell you all their woes and worries (I am sure it used to be a "yes I'm fine thanks" and this would also include if they had just severed an artery)...
